We tried this out before we gave it to our daughter for her 3rd birthday. It would not, despite minutes of waiting, blow any butterflies out. We even changed the batteries to make sure that wasn't the problem. Don't buy this!
Rating: - Elefun isnt so fun
After putting the toy together which took less than 1 min, i turned on the power to the little fan and about half the butterflies came out and the ones that did come out came out very slowly. The other half had trouble being blown up the elephants nose. I think it needs a stronger fan, when i put my a/c fan and helped the fan on the toy go it would blow out the butterflies at a better speed where my kids actually had fun. otherwise my 5yr old kids were bored. My daughter received this for her 4th birthday. Ours has worked out perfectly for us. The butterflies come out 2 0r 3 at a time, giving my daughter time to see them rising through the trunk. I love that it is a somewhat active game, but quiet enough to play before bedtime. This has become a ritual for us. Every night my daughter announces "It's time for a Family Game of Elefun!" My husband and I sit on the floor, she sets it up and stands on the bed and the three of us play.

My kids love this game but they hardly ever catch a butterfly with the net. This game only takes the expensive batteries and LOTS of them as they don't last long.

Elefun is a fun toy, but it is definitely NOT worth $24 or whatever the retail price is. The motorized elephant blows out little cloth butterflies out of his trunk, then you use nets to try to catch the butterflies. My daughter enjoys catching the butterflies with the net, but each round only lasts no longer than a minute. Also Elefun uses four C batteries. There are so many other games that are cheaper, don't require batteries, and can entertain your kids for longer periods of time.
