I installed this item properly (changed the velcro as suggested for a snug fit) on my happy navigator - my 13 month old grandson put a little pressure on one side and the bike stopped short. This not only happened one time but several times. I took the foote off the bike for the ride home as I consider this a safety issue.

The Kettler footrest, even when installed properly, is very dangerous! My 16-month-old son simply pressed his foot down on the footrest while I was pushing him, and it immediately made the trike come to an abrupt stop, throwing his face into the handlebars. He now has his first black eye. We hadn't even made it out of the driveway when this happened, and I certainly wasn't pushing him very fast. My husband and I worked on the footrest for hours, trying to make it work so that he couldn't press ... Read More

This is a great addition to our Kettler Air Navigator. My 15 month old son loves his tricycle but he's too young to pedal it so this gives him a nice place to safely rest his feet. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was much harder to put on than it needed to be. As an earlier reviewer said, it's much easier to install if you reverse the velcro before you start. Unfortunately it wasn't clear to me what this meant until I was struggling to attach backwards velcro to the ... Read More

The foot rest was a needed addition to his trike. It sits a little high on the pedals, but he's kind of tall for 17 months, and you have to make sure you have it seated in just the right position on the trike. But all in all it was worth the few extra dollars.

I got this footrest for my son tricycle. My son is 2 and can't reach the pedals. The tricycle is Kettler too (a bit old), but the footrest doesn't fit right. The velcro closures are too short and so after a while they opened and the footrest moves down and the front wheel gets stuck. So I have to take my son down from the tricycle, turn it over and tie the footrest again! Every time! That happened 6 times in 4 blocks. It was a waste of money, we haven't used the tricycle since that time.
